AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) a' NASCAR can look at the keeping gates at its tracks after having a Nationwide Series car crashed through the wall at the Daytona 500 and hurt significantly more than two dozen fans. Bob O'Donnell, NASCAR's Senior Vice President of Racing Operations, mentioned on Saturday that the door where rookie Kyle Larson's car hit the fence was closed, but that items of the car still experienced the fence. He explained the safety aspects of Larson's car appeared to work, but the part that the engine is connected to sheared off and sent pieces of the car flying in to the stands. O'Donnell also said two of the wounded fans remain at a medical facility, but that everyone else has been released.
