Chelsea FC manager Rafael Benitez wants he to be supported by fans against West Brom - Crunchsports.com

Chelsea temporary boss Rafael Benitez has required fans to make a "fantastic atmosphere" in the home to West Brom on Saturday - just days after he criticised them. Benitez on Wednesday night established he'll keep Chelsea when his contract ends come july 1st - and also launched a attack on Blues fans. His remarks, which came after the 2-0 win at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup - in which he explained the decision to provide him the name "interim manager" as a mistake", and hit out at some of the club's supporters - has resulted in speculation that operator Roman Abramovich can remove him before the end of the season. But the Spaniard demands he will see out the rest of the period, and ahead of what will likely be a hostile party at Stamford Bridge contrary to the Baggies. has moved to calm the situation. "I have been training and coaching for 26 years and often I've had principles," reporters were told by him. "Respect and training could be the way I've achieved what I have achieved. I would prefer to visit a wonderful environment with everybody helping the group, I'll be pleased with that. "I am the main team, I would like their help. I'll do my best before last day. This is the way I was taught at Real Madrid." After hitting out at his "interim" subject in midweek, a U-turn was performed by the former Liverpool boss on Friday. "In my head I'm the manager and I have to control the staff. The title does not matter, if you win the Champions League that is a title' but I pay attention to my job. It's fine, it's okay," he explained. Benitez also said there are no problems with any senior figures at the club following his argument on Teesside. "I may read that I have issues with [Michael] Emenalo, with the board. I was talking to him recently, he was saying it is cold and you're training in pants. We had a conversation and we were referring to football," he explained. "I have experience doing things with respect and determination. I keep my interest. My desire is always to gain two trophies. "The message is clear, I didn't have any problems with the board, I didn't have any problems with Emenalo, I did not have any problems with Roman Abramovich. "If you analyze vigilantly what I said, I was wanting to explain that we have 11 games to play, that means 33 points. It will be easy for us to obtain things if we stick together behind the team. "I am attempting to explain when we remain behind the team completely then the participants will perform better. Everyone is going to be happy at the conclusion of the summer season. I've 3 months on my contract now. "If you remember some games, I think that the fans are very important for the team. If you remember the environment against Napoli or this year against Arsenal, it's when you've everybody behind the group pushing and pushing a positive change. "The temporary title isn't a challenge. You say we're not playing well each and every game, this is not true. "If you remember the game against Nordsjallend, Aston Villa, Everton, Sunderland, Norwich. I am discussing the games in which we did very well. In another activities we were quite close but we couldn't get it done. "I can only control what I say, I can't control what people create. I have no probelms with anyone. I'm talking with the master and the table when they are about. "It is not a problem today. I said it was an error [then] no problem now. I will be the manager tomorrow against West Brom. "I am really pleased with the performance of the participants against Middlesbrough, really pleased with their response in training. I am very positive that individuals will get a result and finish in the top three, top two. We will have, that's my experience. "Realistically, [finishing second] is not easy, Manchester City are a good team, it'll be described as a difficult. Top three, top four, two games. That is the target."
