Kraft Nabisco Championship Past Champions and History

The Kraft Nabisco started as a 54 opening function, referred to as the Colgate Dinah Shore Tournament. It's been used at the Old Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The inaugural celebration was won by Jane Blalock. Nabisco became the mentor in 1982. That year, the Dinah Shore was the very first LPGA event to have all times broadcast on national television (by ABCa'always a buddy to tennis). The event was made a by the LGPA the following year. For those who are not old enough to keep in mind, Dinah Shore was a singer, actor and exploratory tv talk show host. Starting her career in as an artist radio, she had her own system by 1943. During the Second World War, Shore was the initial person to see troops at the front. After the war, songs were recorded more than 70 by her, including one named aDinaha, which gave her the nickname (her real name was Frances Rose). She'd her very own television variety and talk show beginning in 1951. In the late a60s and a70s, the show was called aDinah!a and was extremely popular it was watched by my mother carefully). She certainly was the master who made Oprah! possible. Coast died in 1994. For the LPGA, Shore was a determined promotera'kind of the Bob Hope of womenas tennis. Dinah Shore is the firsta'and onlya'honorary member of the LPGA Hall of Fame. She was given the Patty Berg Award on her behalf efforts to womenas tennis. Shore also left her mark in the traditional celebratory move following the event. In 1991, she joined Amy Alcott for the dunka'the aswim at the Shore.a Viewers are certain to see the move again in 2013. The present name of the event displays Kraftas 2000 purchase of Nabisco brands. Kraft Nabiscoas support for the tournament is extremely powerful, offeirng a bag of $1.8 million. Itas a pity, however, that Dinah Shoreas title no more is associated with the contest she started. Goal Hills can play as a 6,569 lawn par 72 for the contest. The class was designed by Desmond Muirhead. The signature is the 531 lawn par 5, with an island green sitting right before the club.
