That game wasn't as close. Kentucky remained close for the very first 10 minutes making use of their "40 minutes of dread" safety. Then UConn resulted in its defensive strength. The Huskies trailed 23-22 with just 9 minutes left in the very first half. That is when Stewart a' honored as the outstanding player of the Bridgeport Regional a and UConn's "no-name" defense took over letting three points the rest of the half. Kentucky missed 13 of its final 14 images in the half with the only make when Jelleah Sidney banked in a 3-pointer from the side coming. While UConn was playing lockdown security, Stewart was owning on the end. After Sidney's 3-pointer, Stewart comfortably converted a three-point play on the other end. UConn brought 48-26 at the half. Kentucky couldn't get within 20 in the next half. Still coach Matthew Mitchell was left searching for the school's first day at the Ultimate Four. The Wildcats have reached the regional finals in three of those years falling quick each time and created the NCAA tournament in each of days gone by four seasons.
