Trish Stratus: Hall of Fame Induction Cements Legend's Status as All-Time Great

Trish Stratus entered the WWE Hall of Fame on Sunday as part of a decorated class, and this diva doesn't need to take a backseat to any of her peers. She isn't just a divas legend, she is a WWE legend.

Mick Foley, Booker T., Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino and Donald Trump (celebrity wing) joined Stratus in this star-studded class (h/t Jay Amabile of the Star-Ledger).

Stratus' career with the company began in a non-wrestling role. She began to work her way into a bigger role and eventually into the ring as her affair with Vince McMahon became a popular storyline.

Stratus lost that match and had yet to become a dynamic in-ring wrestler, but her intensity and charisma were on full display. It was clear by her performance, and the crowd's reaction, that bigger things were in store for her.

This was a crowd-pleasing and entertaining match that highlighted what many feel is the golden age of diva wrestling.

By this time in her career, Stratus had proven what many thought was never possible: Strip away all the drama and storylines, and she could still provide an entertaining match just with her ability in the ring.

This serves as a great example of why Stratus' induction into the Hall of Fame was well-earned, and why her place in the company's lore is secure and eternal.
