NFL Greats Will Announce Day 2 Picks at 2013 Draft

During the second and third rounds of the 2013 NFL draft, each team will have one of its renowned alumni announce its respective draft selection on Friday, April 26.

The National Football League's official communications website reported the news on Wednesday, and provided a list of those who will take the podium in Radio City Music Hall for each team:

Those teams with an asterisk do not have second-round picks, and their respective stars will read their picks in Round 3.

This list of standout players includes six Pro Football Hall of Famers, including three from the 2013 class. Jonathan Ogden, a perennial All-Pro offensive tackle for the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, is one of them.

Former stud defensive tackle Warren Sapp will read for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as another recent inductee, and linebacker Dave Robinson is set to do the same for the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL began the three-day draft format in 2010, with the second and third rounds being on the second day. In addition to the stars being given the honor to announce exciting new prospects to join their former teams, fans will be able to get in on the action as well.

Thanks to Bud Light's sponsoring of Round 2, one fan representing each franchise will get VIP treatment in New York City, with green room access and a dinner reception with the players announcing picks. Those fans will be card carriers for their team's picks, and one will have the opportunity to read the selection on-stage with the high-profile alums.
