Anzhi Makhachkala Offer QPR Star Summer Escape Route ...

The 29 year old defender left the wealthy Russian side in January to join Harry Redknapp's QPR. Redknapp had hoped that his winter signings such as Samba and Loic Remy, would galvanise his squad into avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

It would take almost a miracle now for the club to stay up and QPR officials know that they are going to have to sell some of their high profile players come the summer.

Anzhi were never keen on selling Samba but were powerless to resist after QPR met a buyout clause in the player's contract.

When he left Anzhi, Samba stated he had been the victim of racist abuse from opposition fans during his time in Russia but that was not enough to stop him "thoroughly enjoying" his time in the country.

Anzhi may well have a chance of signing the centre backs as they are one of the few clubs in the world who would be willing and able to match Samba's current £100,000 a week pay deal.
