Yaya Toure facing Manchester City showdown talks over agent contract demands - Goal.com Singapore

The Ivorian's representative, Dimitri Seluk, set a deadline of Saturday for the Premier League champions to open talks over a new deal for his client at the Etihad Stadium

The Ivorian will be asked to clarify his position at the club after his representative, Dimitri Seluk, set a deadline of Saturday for the Premier League champions to agree a new deal with his client.

Toure is under contract until 2015 but Seluk predicted that he would leave City at the end of the season because, he claimed, he only felt appreciated by manager Roberto Mancini.

Txiki Begiristain and the rest of the City board are unlikely to be swayed by Seluk's demands and plan to begin discussing a new deal with the 29-year-old in the summer.

Sergio Aguero, meanwhile, returned to training at Carrington on Monday after being released by the Argentina national team due to a knee injury.

Alejandro Sabella took the opportunity to call the striker up to his latest squad but elected not to risk fielding him in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.
