In the depths of the worst dropping streak of his profession, Mark Hunt actually gotAan possibility from White and the UFC by way of a technicality. A former K-1 champion, Hunt lost every battle he took in a four-year period from July 2006 to September 2010. In that stretch, Hunt lost six straight scraps, incrediblyAlosing five by submission and another by KO. But because ofAdiscrepancies in Zuffa's handle Japan's Pride Fighting Championships company, HuntAwas offered the chance to catch a substantial paycheck without ever fighting in the UFC. But, in place of taking the easy path, Hunt named White and stated that he wished to fight, a Joe Silva made possible when he paired "The Super Samoan" with Sean McCorkle at UFC 119. In what was his last damage in the six-fight losing streak, Hunt got presented in the very first round against McCorkle. But looking like the HuntAfrom his early days in Pride, his loss was followed by The Super Samoan to McCorkle with four straights benefits, including three by raw form of knockout. For his attempts, Hunt pocketed "Knockout of the Night" bonuses for his victories over Chris Tuchscherer and Stefan Struve at UFC 127 and UFC on Fuel TV 8, respectively. Once deemed a one-trick pony with serious drive issues, Hunt has apparently made changes to his vulnerable ground game. The Super Samoan may have truly come back to where it started as a artist, growing from the ashes and turning hisAcareer in to a true Cinderella story, if he is able to outwit former champ Junior dos Santos at UFC 160.
