Ohio State Football: 4-Star RB, OSU Commit Ezekiel Elliott to Visit Missouri

One of the jewels of Ohio State's 2013 recruiting class—4-star running back Ezekiel Elliott (via ESPN) out of St. Louis—has scheduled a visit to home-state Missouri this weekend, according to 247sports.com.

Ohio State fans hit the panic button as soon as the news broke Wednesday night, fearing that the lone running back commit in this year's class appeared to be looking around.

Before panic turned to hysteria, though, Elliot delivered a message to Buckeyes fans in a conversation with ESPN.com:

The message brought a huge sigh of relief to fans who are excited to see the dynamic running back operating in Urban Meyer's spread offense over the next three to four years. His speed and playmaking ability was on full display during his senior season as he launched himself into the ESPN 150 rankings.

Elliott committed to Ohio State back in April, and all indications suggest he has no intention of flipping just two weeks before National Signing Day.

According to Michael Chung of The-Ozone.net, Elliott is taking the visit as a courtesy to his parents, both of whom were athletes at the university:

That won't stop the folks at Missouri from putting the full-court press on Elliott this weekend. Despite already having a running back committed in Chase Abbington, Missouri coach Gary Pinkel would gladly welcome Elliott, who rushed for 2,155 yards and 40 touchdowns his senior season.

Even T.J. Moe, a wide receiver who just finished his senior season at Missouri, is recruiting Elliott for the Tigers.
