Fight it out head basketball coach Scott Krzyzewski has made a good mark on the USA Basketball team since he assumed the pinnacle coaching position in 2005. Despite remarks with the contrary, it now seems Krzyzewski could remain with the helm through 2016.

Based on Pete Thamel of Activities Illustrated, Coach K has "reversed course" in admitting she's considering a return:

Thamel information that Krzyzewski, 66, and chairman Jerry Colangelo have been discussing the ongoing nature within the former's relationship with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Basketball.

Colangelo commented, "I think it is somewhat close to being sorted. That's all I can say for sure. Give it another week and it must be resolved. "

USA Basketball hasn't for ages been a top priority for ones NBA's brightest stars. From lull in success previous to Krzyzewski's arrival, the team is a huge dominant force in essential play, compiling a 62-1 record in the span. His tenure also includes Olympic gold medals in the 2008 and 2012 Video game titles.

As per Thamel, the chairman held off of naming a new coach in the beginning of the year praying of convincing Krzyzewski to help you retain his position to be able to lead the team inside the coming years.

Coach K was that architect of USA Basketball's most current Olympic gold medal in 2012 within the London Games—a run that included a wonderful 8-0 record and a good 107-100 victory over Spain in the gold medal game.

USA Basketball also won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, but that may not have been possible without Krzyzewski for the helm. The year previous to Coach K took around (2004), the team produced some disappointing third-place finish in the Athens Olympics.

Should he agree to remain with the team, Thamel suggests Krzyzewski's finalized run could encompass both 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup plus the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
