Raiders fans are usually familiar with how vital the backup running back position are usually in the NFL, and especially so when so much of your offense is created around a star within the position.
In Darren McFadden, the Raiders undoubtedly have one of many NFL's best running backs when healthy, but obtaining a complementary back for him is imperative. In Latavius Murray, the Raiders might have that very player.
"He runs nice passages, he's extremely intelligent, so he's acquired the offense really well, and he's got truly soft hands so he does a sexy job not only landing the ball, " Allen claimed. "But when you look at it, he's done a nice job of buying in pass protection. " (via Contra Costa Times)
What's a lot more, the situation may present itself heading on the following season. Should the Raiders allow Darren McFadden flow over the free-agent market when ever his contract expires, this season's performance will dictate whether they are comfortable moving frontward with Murray as your primary back.
Of lessons, that situation is a ways down the road, but Latavius Murray is constantly on the show the physical ability being a very capable three-down in the NFL.
