Effectively, itas about time. Nebraska basketball legend Tommie Frazier, after years and years of waiting, has been inducted in to the 2013 class of the Faculty Football Hall of Fame. Frazier has been snubbed time and time again, and his induction has been greeted with relief (and only a little exasperation) by Nebraska supporters. Weave mentioned before how Frazieras snub was due partly with a of the rules of the College Football Hall of Fame. But was there an incident to be manufactured that Frazier actually didnat belong amongst school footballas elite? Research Over his vocation, Frazier had 342 carries for 1,955 yards and 36 touchdowns. He threw for 3,521 yards and 43 touchdowns. In comparison, Ohio Stateas Eddie George (and Frazieras Heisman nemesis) had 4,302 complete yards from scrimmage and 45 touchdowns. Ron Dayne, who'll take Frazieras Hall of Fame school, had a total of 7,429 yards from scrimmage and 71 touchdowns. So Frazieras stats, while reputable, certainly didn't scream out he was a Hall of Famer. Surrounding Cast From 1992-1995, the decades Frazier was at Nebraska, the Cornhuskers were 45-4, with three of these losses to arrive Frazieras freshman year. The Nebraska lineup was littered with future NFL stars, especially on the offensive line. Obviously, Frazieras skill was a big part of those teamsa achievement. But at the very least an argument could possibly be made that Frazier was served by playing on this type of good group. Recall, in 1995, not only did Nebraska go undefeated, it won all but among its activities by more than three touchdowns. That type of visibility is a team effort, certainly. So Frazier, as he was talented, certainly benefitted from being surrounded by such a strong supporting cast. As when we look at personal honors just like a Hall of Fame, possibly being on this type of group would need to be studied into account, a result. Nevertheless a OKAY, thatas the argument (such as it's) for keeping Frazier out from the Hall of Fame as long as he was. But these arguments actually donat compare all that well from the weight of evidence in favor of Frazieras induction. While the supporting cast debate could have only a little weight, ultimately there is no denying the fact that Frazier was the starting quarterback for back-to-back national champions, and the bad chief on the 1995 team that was (at least arguably) the greatest team in the history of college football. And there's no doubt concerning Frazieras management of that staff. His exceptional athletic ability, along with a fierce sense of desire and competition for excellence from his teammates and himself pushed Nebraska on the line. When Byron Bennettas end sailed extensive in the 1993 Orange Bowl, leaving Nebraska two points short of a national title, it was Frazieras steel-willed determination that helped cause Nebraska to its aUnfinished Businessa campaign, winning Tom Osborneas first national title per year later. And then, there clearly was aThe Runa against Florida. If there was ever one play that epitomized Frazier as a person and Nebraska as a team, it was aThe Run.a Frazier, on an option, breaking tackle after tackle, on his solution to a 75-yard touchdown to greatly help seal Nebraskaas rout of Steve Spurrieras Fun-N-Gun Gators. That play must be, even if Frazier wasnat in the Hall of Fame. His career was ended by frazier with a (!) report as a beginner, which can be the best fact. So congratulations to Frazier (today HoF 2013) on a long-overdue respect.
