At this moment, Tashaun Gipson—a 2012 undrafted free of cost agent with 33 position tackles—is Cleveland's free safety. Granted, no one knows precisely what Gipson is capable involving, but it's impossible to seriously feel comfortable with the dog starting.
Conveniently, Kerry Rhodes, who this started 15 games with regard to Cleveland defensive coordinator Beam Horton, is available. Rhodes started at free of cost safety under Horton for 2 seasons and is still just 30 years of age.
Few will confuse Rhodes for any star safety. He is a superb player, though, and it's just a bit baffling why he's still available, especially given the Browns' obvious have.
