He doesn't look some thing like Kenny Powers (see original post), but Michael Strem gives the Thunder anyway. Strem, the only senior on the E. Francis High School involving Mountain View (CA) roster, plonked a 66-pitch perfect online game to lead the Lancers finished Monta Vista of Cupertino, 2-0, with the Central Coast Section Div. I playoffs last week.
Yeah, that's 66 pitches in a very seven-inning game, or typically 9. 4 pitches for inning. That's amazing for virtually every pitcher in a high school game, let alone in the playoffs. It was the first perfect game in class history.
You may remember the St. Francis baseball program out of such hits as Eric Byrnes (who proceeded to play for a A's and Diamondbacks), Serta Nava (Red Sox), Daniel Descalso (Cardinals) along with John Gall (Marlins, 2008 Olympic baseball team); in addition to Doug Cosbie (Cowboys All-Pro snug end) and Linda Cardellini (Freaks together with Geeks! and Mad Men). Also due to the heated West Catholic Fit League rivalry with nearby Serra A lot of San Mateo, which made Barry Bonds and Ben Brady.
Mark Cardinalli drove inside the game's only runs which has a single in the 6th inning. Aside from this, Monta Vista's Peter Stern matched Strem zero for zero. Stern allowed three hits, walked three and additionally struck out eight inside six innings.
Strem have eight strikeouts, and word on the street (that street is about seven miles from when I'm writing this) is that he's maneuvering to Boston College in a fall.
